Abstract
The desire of a man to operate a cashless society was realized with the advent of electronic payment (e-payment). Automated Teller Machine (ATM) has become an integral part of the society. ATM has relieved man the stress of carrying money around. Similarly, it has eliminated the traditional long queues in the banking halls. Furthermore, the introduction of this machine has changed the way and manner transactions are being handled within the society. In spite of the obvious changes these machines have brought, it also came with its own peculiar problems. This paper examines the gains and pains associated with where Automated Teller Machines in the society and also proffer solutions to some of the problems associated with them.
