Efficient management of inventory is a very important task for every organisation as a considerable amount of any organisation’s fund is directed to it. Inventory as part of an organisation’s current assets has to be managed and maintained because loss of inventory to some organisations could be very vital and could mean the end of such organisation. The aim of this study is to determine inventory management and profitability of the conglomerate sector of Nigeria. The study adopted no sampling technique as the whole population of the study formed the research sample. Secondary data sourced from the annual reports of the companies under study were analysed through regression analysis. Findings show that one out of the two independent variables tested was significant to the study and the study recommends that trained staff members should be in charge of inventory management and these staff should be trained over and over again on new techniques and innovations.
